Google asks the public how it should improve its Bard AI

Google’s announcement came as Microsoft, a key backer of ChatGPT, prepares to launch more products using the technology behind the chatbot. ChatGPT was developed by San Francisco-based OpenAI, which recently received a multibillion-dollar investment from Microsoft. Developer Bedros Pamboukian, as noted on X by Android Authority, uncovered code on the Google Bard website that mentions Bard Advanced. Bard, Google’s enhanced chatbot, may no longer offer its upgraded version for free, as indicated by information uncovered by a developer. Recent findings about the advanced iteration of Google’s Bard AI chatbot imply that users might be required to pay for access to Bard Advanced in the future. Consider ChatGPT for conversational abilities, Claude for reduced bias and accuracy, and Bard for leveraging Google’s knowledge base (once publicly launched).

Google revealed three versions of Gemini in early December, and said Bard was running on the middle tier, Gemini Pro. The top-of-the-range Ultra model is supposed to launch early this year, with the ability to understand images, video and audio.

Recently, Google has announced the company’s most powerful language model to date – Gemini. Google said Gemini outperformed OpenAI’s GPT-4 language model and human experts on massive multitask language understanding (MMLU) tasks.

Utilizing the LaMDA technology, it sources the web to find the most up-to-date answers. As an experimental conversational AI service developed by Google, Bard AI continually learns from human interactions to enhance its capabilities. The importance of that is it gives conversational language models an opportunity to learn more.

Unlike OpenAI, which has primarily focused on producing advanced AI models, Google has taken a different approach by integrating AI into their existing business strategies. Google and Microsoft are going head to head over the future of search by embracing the technology behind artificial intelligence chatbots. The initial version of the paper was published in December 2022, and the second version was updated in February 2023.
